Honors BIO Test on Monday

Due to some scheduling conflicts, the Honors Biology test will be moved to Monday, April 29th after school from 2:40 - 3:40 in the science computer lab.  We will collect any notes you made and a list of the resources you used at that time.

Heat Test & Project

In order to allow the same amount of class time, the HEAT TEST will be on

• Friday for D & E period
• Monday for A & G period

The HEAT PROJECT is designed to be a good way to study for that test.  It involves everything we've covered in the past two weeks.

What are we making?	A HEAT training manual for employees at Fire and Ice, Inc.  (made on Prezi)
What should be in it?	That and more can be found at the Heat Project Home Base
When is it due?	The school day after your test.  We'll post a link to your Prezi on Its Learning

Notes, tutorials, videos, etc are available on Its Learning in the HEAT --> RESOURCES folder.

Honors Bio Test

If you're interested in taking the honors biology test, here are the topics you will want to prepare:

• DNA structure, replication, and how to make a protein from DNA
• Cells:  structure and function of parts of cells; animal and plant cells

There are a lot of Biology websites, resources, and videos out there.  Choose sources at a high school level.  Keep track of what resources you use and notes you prepare.  You will turn those in when you take the test.  The test itself will be multiple choice, open response, and online activity.  We're looking at how resourceful you can be, how well you prepare, and how you approach new topics.  If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Colace at colace@medway.k12.ma.us.

The test will occur toward the end of the week after we get back from break, tentatively Thursday, April 25th.
