Test Thursday!
What's on it?
- Vector Addition
- Vectors & Scalars - know what they are, examples, and how to draw them
- Use the vertical and horizontal component vectors to find a resultant
- Use the resultant and an angle to find the horizontal and vertical components
- Velocity ( Vx, Vy, & V )- horizontal and vertical components
- What is the acceleration of a projectile at any time during flight?
- Describe how the vertical and horizontal velocities change during flight.
- Predict the horizontal and vertical velocity of a projectile at any time during its flight given the initial horizontal and vertical velocities
- Distances (Range-Dx & Height-Dy)
- Use the height and acceleration to predict the time in air.
- Predict the horizontal distance traveled by a projectile given its velocity or vice-versa
How should I study?
- Chapter 3 in the textbook.
- Concepts: concept summary at end of chapter, review questions, think n explains
- Problem Solving: plug n chugs, think n solves, practice problems at the back of the book (pg 665)
- Get a study buddy and quiz each other.
- Video Playlist - The first four videos on this playlist were created by Paul G Hewitt, the author of your textbook, and he explains things well.
